Description

The Tree Climbers’ Guide was written specifically from the tree climbers’ perspective to learn safe climbing and aerial tree work principles. It is a basic text for tree climbers as well as a study guide for the ISA Certified Tree Worker Climber Specialist® and Aerial Lift Specialist® exams. Each chapter includes a list of key terms and concludes with a workbook section.
The fourth edition has been updated throughout and features more than 270 illustrations by artist Bryan Kotwica that help to clarify and complement the text.

The fourth edition includes three new chapters: Moving Rope Systems (MRS), Stationary Rope Systems (SRS), and Climbing Equipment. The other chapters, fully revised and updated, are: Tree Health and Sciences, Safety, Ropes and Knots, Preparing to Climb, Pruning, Rigging, Removal, and Cabling. The guide also contains appendices with answers to the workbook questions, a glossary, and resources listed for further reference. (©2021)
