The Zubat is known worldwide as a precision handsaw used in Arboriculture, Forestry, Gardening, general pruning and farming.
All curved saws work best when cutting above your shoulders or below your waist. The shape of the blade naturally cuts into the branch as you pull the saw towards you.
This saw cuts ONLY on the PULL stroke. All cutting occurs on the pull stroke. Use a minimal amount of pressure as you pull the blade toward yourself and then glide the saw forward. On the forward stroke, the teeth will clear of timber or material and then on the pull stroke the saw will do the cutting again. So it’s a, Pull…..relax glide forward, pull….relax glide forward style of cutting.
The tips of the Zubats teeth have been hardened to give an extremely long life to the sharpness of the saw. The blades are hollow-ground to reduce friction and increase ease of cutting action and speed. The handle is made from Silky’s special GOM material, giving superior grip and a reduction in vibrations. The teeth are non-set and have a Mirai-Me design which creates a very smooth surface once the timber is cut. The blades are made from a special material which is a high carbon steel and have been given a special coating in order to reduce rust and protect the blade.
All parts of the saws are available and replaceable. All Zubats come with a scabbard that has a belt and leg strap attachment loops. Leg straps are available separately.
The Silky Zubat was designed for arborists. Silky Japan visited Australia and met a number of tree workers and the recurring request was for a Zubat with an extra-large tooth. Soon after its release, it was sold out within weeks Orders flooded into Japan from distributors around the world. Word filtered through to landscapers and garden contractors and it wasn’t long before the Silky Zubat Arborist Saw was the most requested item.
If you are after a strong aggressive saw with a 33cm curved blade, hold fast scabbard, that is easy to use when camping or caravanning look no further.
