MIS501 Tree Risk Assessment covers the core standards of tree risk assessment for arborists in Australia and New Zealand. It is not a tree risk assessment system. Rather, the document provides a framework within which different systems for tree risk assessment may be applied.

MIS501 Tree Risk Assessment has been in development for over two years. Produced in partnership with the New Zealand Arboricultural Association, as well as every State and Territory arboricultural body, this standard covers quantitative, qualitative and comparative risk assessment methodologies, underpinning knowledge and minimum standards for risk assessment reports.
